​Two types of sensors for thermal imaging are investigated:

  • Active imaging, with uncooled semiconductor pixels, working in direct detection. More 

  • Passive imaging, with cooled highly sensitive pixels of the superconducting hot electron bolometer (HEB) heterodyne mixer type. More
